Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure in which excess skin is removed and the abdominal muscles are tightened. It is commonly performed following significant weight loss, pregnancies, or in cases of age-related laxity of the abdominal wall. Where there is a pronounced excess of skin, body contouring through exercise or diet alone is generally not sufficient. The incision is typically made just above the pubic hairline. The scar is positioned so that it remains concealed beneath swimwear, and over time it may fade.
