The operation: a surgical masterpiece
This facelift is performed under general anesthesia and takes a few hours, depending on the specific requirements. After around two to three weeks, you can return to your usual activities - by then, the swelling and reddening of the skin will have largely subsided. However, the complete healing process can take several months.
In the first four weeks after the facelift, you should avoid athletic activities, strong sunlight or going to the sauna. The procedure is performed in a specialized clinic for aesthetic surgery. Please plan to spend one day in the clinic.

What are the possible risks and side effects?
You should expect moderate swelling and bruising in the first few days after the procedure - this is completely normal, nothing to worry about and will subside after a while. Pain at the edges of the wound may also occur. This usually minor discomfort can be easily treated with light pain medication. We remove the stitches after around 10 days. By then, you will already notice a significant reduction in swelling. Most of our patients are fully fit for work and social activities again after around two to three weeks.
