PDO thread lift – facial tightening with threads to stimulate collagen production
The treatment uses PDO threads, which are placed beneath the skin to achieve skin tightening and wrinkle treatment with minimal discomfort and a short treatment duration. Sessions last between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of threads used.
Local anaesthesia is required. Small entry points are made to allow the threads to be positioned, which are then carefully tensioned before the excess ends are trimmed.

In general, you may resume your normal activities straight after a thread lift, although it is advisable to avoid strenuous physical activity and sun exposure for a few days.

A distinction is made between neck, lower jaw line, and mid-face thread lifts. The entry points for the PDO threads are concealed either behind the ear or within the hairline.
What can I expect to look like after a thread lift?
In the first few days following a thread lift, occasional redness, haematomas, and swelling of the face may occur. As a precautionary measure, the treated areas can be gently cooled after the thread lift treatment. Never apply ice directly to the skin; always wrap the ice pack in a cloth. The recommended cooling pattern is 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.
How many threads are needed for a thread lift?
The number of PDO threads required for a thread lift varies considerably. For a jowl thread lift, 2–3 PDO threads per side of the face are typically needed. This allows you to address sagging jowls effectively. Jowl tightening without surgery is possible with a thread lift and also with a HIFU treatment.
