Who are hydration-boost treatments suitable for?

Hydration-boost treatments are suitable for almost every skin type – but particularly for those with dry, dull or sensitive skin. They are equally beneficial for the first signs of skin ageing, such as fine lines or a tired complexion, and as an after-sun treatment during the summer months. Younger patients from around the age of 20 also benefit from hydration boosters – for example to improve skin quality in the long term or to proactively replenish the skin's moisture reserves..

What distinguishes hydration treatments from conventional anti-ageing treatments?

Hydration boosters do not focus on volume or reshaping, but on optimising skin structure and health. The aim is deeply hydrated, plump and radiant skin – without any volumising effect. Rather than fillers or Botox, the focus is on gentle treatments such as HydraFacial, Forma or biostimulators, which hydrate deeply and sustainably.

Which treatment is right for my skin type?

This depends greatly on your current skin condition and your expectations. For sensitive, dry or tired skin, HydraFacial or Forma are often well suited. For mature or damaged skin, regenerative actives such as Polynucleotides or Exosomes may be more appropriate. Chemical peels can also be very well individualised – depending on skin condition, pigmentation or blemishes. During a consultation and following a thorough skin analysis, we will discuss together which combination is best suited to your skin and your personal goals.

When will the first results be visible and how long do they last?

In most cases, you will notice a fresh glow immediately after treatment and your skin will feel softer and smoother. The specific treatment method and your skin type also play a role, of course. Intensive and longer-lasting hydration of the skin – reaching deeper skin layers – develops within two to three weeks. As an after-sun treatment during the summer months, regular sessions are recommended.

Which combinations are particularly effective?

Since your skin is unique, your treatment should be too. That is why our practice in Düsseldorf focuses on combination treatments that are individually tailored to each complexion. Examples include combinations of HydraFacial and Microneedling or Morpheus 8 in conjunction with hydrating serums and masks. Our goal: to treat several skin layers simultaneously – for a holistically healthy complexion.

Can the treatments also be carried out in summer?

Yes, absolutely! Unlike many more intensive treatments such as laser, Skinboosters, after-sun and hydration treatments are well tolerated throughout the year. Consistent sun protection in the days following treatment is important. Equally important is the selection of ingredients and active substances that should not cause unwanted reactions upon contact with UV light.

Are there any downtime, risks or side effects?

After almost all hydration treatments, you are ready to return to social activities immediately or the following day. Side effects such as mild, temporary redness may occur after more intensive peels, needling or occasionally after skinboosters. These can usually be easily concealed and subside quickly. Microneedling or Morpheus 8 may cause a brief sensation of tightness – this too typically resolves quickly. At artethic® Dr. med.
