Breast Implants

Breast implants are medical silicone shells filled with a stable gel. In plastic surgery, they are used for breast augmentation, reconstruction, or shape correction. A further area of application is transgender surgery. Implants differ in their surface texture (smooth, textured) and their shape (round, anatomical). The implant and the desired volume should be suited to the anatomy of the patient. A thorough consultation with a specialist is required for this purpose. Modern implants are long-lasting and meet the highest medical safety standards. Long-term aftercare and, where necessary, subsequent replacement are indispensable.
