Brow Ptosis
Brow ptosis describes the drooping of the eyebrows — for example, due to laxity resulting from the natural ageing of the skin or loss of volume. Typical consequences include a tired or unjustifiably stern facial expression. In some cases, the brow area may press down onto the eyelid and lead to restrictions in the visual field. We generally correct the drooping by means of a minor surgical procedure (brow lift, forehead lift). In milder cases, minimally invasive tightening procedures may also be an option.
