Expression Lines

Expression lines develop through repeated movements of the facial muscles, for example when laughing or furrowing the brows. Typical expression lines include crow's feet (fine lines at the outer corner of the eye), forehead lines, and frown lines. Botulinum toxin (a muscle relaxant) can reduce muscle activity and smooth the lines for a certain period of time. Deep lines can additionally be filled with hyaluronic acid. Treatment of expression lines is not permanent; a top-up after several months is advisable in order to maintain the result.
