Frown Line

The frown line is a vertical crease between the eyebrows, which can sometimes be quite pronounced. The causes include repeated tension of the forehead and periocular musculature, and frequently a genetic predisposition. It is accentuated by facial expressions and deepens with age. An effective treatment is injection with botulinum toxin. The active substance relaxes the muscle and smooths the line. For deeper creases, additional fillers (for example hyaluronic acid) may be beneficial.
