Microfat
Microfat is very finely processed adipose tissue that we use primarily for volume restoration — for example, for wrinkle treatment or breast augmentation with autologous fat. A further area of application is body contouring (shaping of the body, e.g. the hips, thighs, or calves). Autologous fat consists of processed, intact fat cells that can integrate after transplantation and remain permanently within the tissue. Microfat is typically used for larger volume corrections, for example in the case of hip dips or Brazilian Butt Lift. The technique requires very precise, layer-by-layer injection in order to ensure uniform vascularisation and integration. A prerequisite for longevity is a body weight that remains as stable as possible, since the surviving fat cells — like any endogenous fat — may respond to fluctuations in weight.
