Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)

Poly-L-lactic acid is a biostimulator that activates the body's own collagen regeneration. Unlike conventional fillers, PLLA does not work by intensively filling wrinkles; instead, the biostimulator promotes a gradual improvement of skin structure over a period of several weeks. Mild immediate effects, such as subtle skin smoothing, are nonetheless visible, as the substance is incorporated into a hydrating gel base. Biostimulators are used for volume and structural loss, premature skin ageing, fine crêpe-like wrinkles, and early-onset skin laxity, as well as within the context of skin longevity concepts. The treatment outcome is firmer, more even skin with a long-lasting effect. Poly-L-lactic acid can be combined with further aesthetic treatments in order to enhance them or to prolong their effects.
