Sculptra® Combined with Thread Lifting – An Innovative Combination
Auf dieser Seite
Sculptra® is a biostimulator that also works like a filler. The active ingredient poly-L-lactic acid, a gel-like substance, is injected into deeper skin layers. There it distributes in the tissue and stimulates the production of the skin's own collagen.
The durability is significantly longer than with conventional fillers. The active ingredient itself is broken down by the body over a period of one to two years. Through collagen activation, the skin becomes continuously firmer and tighter over a longer period. Touch-ups can be performed at any time. In combination with thread lifting, usually two threads are sufficient, one on each side for stabilization.
Another advantage of the combination: With pure thread lifting, the skin gives way some time after the threads are placed. With Sculptra® we compensate for this, for example in the temple or cheek area.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Sculptra suitable for?
In principle, adult women and men can use Sculptra to reduce wrinkles - whether for wrinkles, on the face or for body tightening. However, it is recommended to refrain from use if any of the following situations apply:
- •Patients who are breastfeeding or pregnant
- •Persons with blood clotting disorders (easy bruising)
- •Acute inflammations on the face require complete healing before treatment is considered
- •Severe allergies or a known allergy to one of the components of Sculptra
- •A history of keloid formation or excessive scarring
What are possible Sculptra side effects?
As with most medical procedures, some side effects may occur when using Sculptra®. Possible side effects include:
- •Redness, swelling and mild pain at the injection site: These symptoms are usually temporary and resolve on their own within a few days.
- •Bruising: Temporary bruising may occur after Sculptra® injection. Cooling can support healing.
- •Nodule formation or hardening: In some cases, nodule formation at injection sites may occur. We recommend regular massage of treated areas for 5 days, 5 times a day for 5 minutes.
- •Allergic reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions may occur. If suspected, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
How does Sculptra treatment work for hip dips?
Hip dips are small hip dents that appear as slight depressions between hip and thigh. With Sculptra® treatment, it is possible to "fill in" the slight depressions on the buttocks and compensate for missing volume at the hip. Hip dip modeling and buttock tightening without surgery are very efficient treatments for firm buttocks.
Radiesse or Sculptra - which is better?
Sculptra and Radiesse are both popular dermal fillers. A key advantage of Sculptra is the duration of results. While Radiesse provides immediate volume effect lasting about a year, Sculptra stimulates collagen production over several months, leading to more natural and longer-lasting results up to two years or longer.
Sculptra® injection - the right technique matters
With Sculptra® injection, it is very important to inject the biostimulator at the correct skin depth and distribute it well after treatment. The skin is best massaged after treatment according to the 5-5-5 rule: for 5 days - 5 times daily - massage gently with circular movements for 5 minutes.
