Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is another term for the surgical tightening of the upper and/or lower eyelids. Reasons for eyelid surgery include, for example, excess skin, lax tissue, or fatty deposits. Medical indications include visual field impairment, such as in pronounced ptosis. A common aesthetic motivation is often the restoration of an alert, refreshed appearance.
