Compression Treatment
After liposuction or autologous fat transfer, fine cavities form within the subcutaneous adipose tissue. Should fluid collect there, swelling, induration, or irregular contours may develop. Compression prevents precisely this. A custom-fitted compression garment exerts uniform pressure on the treated area, reducing swelling, stabilising the tissue, and supporting the skin in adapting in a controlled manner to the new contour. It does not replace a skin tightening procedure, but can noticeably promote the skin's natural retraction. The treatment duration is generally around eight weeks, depending on the extent of the procedure and the individual tissue response. Compression is not an optional adjunct.
