Implant Rotation

Implant rotation occurs when an inserted breast implant rotates within its pocket. Particularly with anatomically shaped implants, this can visibly change the breast shape. Causes include too-large implant pockets, insufficient tissue fixation, or intense physical activity during the early healing phase. Correction is usually surgical, combined with stabilization of the implant position. Careful surgical planning minimizes this risk.
