Lipedema
Lipedema is a chronic, usually genetically determined fat distribution disorder that affects almost exclusively women. Typical features are disproportionate fat accumulation on legs, hips, or arms, often with pressure pain and tendency to bruise. Diets usually show no effect. Therapeutically, the combination of conservative lymph therapy and surgical liposuction is the focus. The goal is to reduce pain, swelling, and aesthetic burden.
