Mini-Facelift

The mini-facelift is a less extensive variant of the classic facelift. It is aimed primarily at individuals with early-onset skin laxity in the lower facial region, particularly along the jawline and in the area of so-called jowls. In contrast to a full facelift, the surgical access is smaller, and the procedure is generally confined to the lower third of the face. As a rule, a mini-facelift tightens primarily the skin rather than the underlying SMAS layer, as is the case with other lifting variants. The downtime is typically shorter than with a comprehensive facelift; however, the tightening effect is limited. In most cases, a mini-facelift is insufficient for more pronounced laxity and longer-lasting results.
