Dermapen 4: The Leader in Medical Microneedling

The cost of microneedling with the Dermapen 4 is approximately €200 per session. In combination with PRP therapy (autologous blood therapy), approximately €250. For optimal results, we recommend 3–4 treatments. Depending on the protocol, single sessions are also possible. Further combinations with, for example, Sculptra®, NCTF, exosomes, autologous fat, or thread lifting may also be considered depending on the skin condition and treatment goal. Microneedling with the Dermapen 4 is suitable for men and women of all skin tones and types. It not only improves skin texture and vitality, but can also be applied to various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, arms, and hands.

Microneedling with the Dermapen 4 is fundamentally a safe, minimally invasive treatment suitable for the majority of our patients. We do not recommend the treatment for active acne breakouts, a tendency towards keloid formation, or certain chronic skin conditions. Pregnant patients should refrain from the treatment.

Typical side effects following a Dermapen 4 treatment include mild redness and swelling, similar to mild sunburn, which normally subsides within a few days. Occasional bruising may also occur. This too is generally of no concern.

The results of a microneedling treatment can vary depending on the area treated and the individual response. Improvements to scarring are long-lasting, while additional sessions may be required to maintain the improved skin appearance. This dual-booster approach allows us to optimally smooth the tissue, refine the complexion, and minimise cheek folds, nasolabial folds, and fine lines.

Microneedling with the Dermapen 4 can be repeated multiple times depending on requirements and skin condition. It is suitable in every season and can be individually tailored to the needs of the skin.

Microneedling is particularly effective in treating wrinkles, general signs of ageing, scars of various types, pigmentation irregularities, and hair concerns. It is most commonly applied to the face (including the eye area, eyelids, and earlobes), neck, décolletage, and scalp, but can also be effective for stretch marks on other areas of the body. Depending on findings/diagnosis: Morpheus8 (deep needling with radiofrequency): the Morpheus8 device combines microneedling with RF energy, enabling the targeted heating of deep layers of skin and adipose tissue. The applicator is fitted with 24–40 fine, gold-tipped needles that penetrate to a depth of 3–8 mm. Dermapen 4 (medical microneedling): 0.5 to 3 mm depth – 12 fine, precisely shaped microneedles.

Dermapen 4 and Hydrafacial – this combination is known as hydraneedling. Both treatments can be carried out in a single session and complement each other perfectly. Dermapen 4 combined with a chemical peel – depending on the skin condition, both treatments enhance one another. The Dermapen 4 "opens the way through the skin barrier", while the chemical peel can stimulate deep cellular renewal. Ideally, a chemical peel should be performed no sooner than one to two weeks after microneedling. Proper aftercare in the form of conscientious and appropriate skincare is essential for treatment success and the maintenance of results. Together with your treating doctor, a skincare protocol tailored to your skin will be developed. – Avoid skin-irritating creams and serums such as acne preparations, AHA creams, and anti-ageing products for a few days. – No sport or sauna visits for one to two days after the treatment. – No sunbeds in the weeks following the treatment. – Consistent sun protection using high-SPF sunscreen (at least SPF 30) in the weeks that follow.
