Thigh lift in Düsseldorf or Berlin – the path to slimmer legs

Thigh lift in Düsseldorf or Berlin – the path to slimmer legs

Many women are familiar with the problem of fat deposits and sagging skin on the thighs. The desire for a thigh lift then arises – to achieve slim, firm legs once again. Even after significant weight loss, the wish for a thigh lift is common when excess skin has developed on the thighs. This excess skin is frequently an aesthetic concern for those affected, and can have a considerable impact on self-confidence.

With advancing age and decreasing skin elasticity, thigh tightening is also a frequent wish for those seeking slimmer legs. Fat deposits and sagging skin on the inner thighs in particular are common reasons for considering a tightening procedure. Where additional unwanted fat deposits have accumulated on the thighs – so-called
saddlebags

– these can be removed with
liposuction

. In a personal consultation, we will discuss whether a combination of
liposuction

and thigh lift may be appropriate in your case. In order to keep scarring to a minimum, the incisions for the thigh lift are made primarily in the groin and only very rarely on the inner thigh.

Your options for thigh tightening:

Thigh Lift Düsseldorf

Classic thigh lift (thighplasty):

The classic thigh lift is a surgical treatment in which excess skin and fatty tissue are removed to tighten and reshape the thighs. Under general anaesthesia, a carefully planned incision is made on the inner thigh, along the groin or the inner thigh down to the knee – the exact approach varies according to the individual patient's needs. Through this incision, the excess tissue is removed and the remaining skin is tightened and repositioned.
Dr. Schuhmann

employs techniques as required, including
liposuction

, skin tightening and, where necessary, tightening of the deeper tissue layers, in order to achieve optimal results whilst leaving only the finest scars. Recovery takes several weeks, during which swelling, bruising, and scar formation may occur. With appropriate scar care, scar development can be minimised.

Sculptra

treatment for thigh tightening:

The
Sculptra

treatment is a non-surgical option for thigh tightening, based on the injection of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). These injections stimulate the skin's natural collagen production, causing the skin to firm up naturally over time. For optimal results, multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart are often required. Recovery time is minimal, as no surgical incisions are necessary. Patients can generally return to their daily activities immediately. The results of thigh tightening with
Sculptra

become gradually visible as collagen builds up over time. Particularly in
wrinkle treatment

,
Sculptra

has also proven to be an innovative and highly effective method.

Liposuction

with BodyTite™ (
Morpheus8

) for thigh tightening:

The
liposuction

with BodyTite™ (
Morpheus8

) is a minimally invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to remove excess fatty tissue whilst simultaneously tightening the skin. Under local anaesthesia or sedation, tiny incisions are made through which a combination of suction and radiofrequency energy is applied. This technique enables precise fat removal and skin tightening. Recovery time is shorter compared to the classic thigh lift, and patients can generally return to their normal activities within a few days. The results are long-lasting, as the radiofrequency energy also stimulates collagen production, leading to improved skin tightening.

How the thigh lift is performed

The treatment is carried out as an inpatient procedure under general anaesthesia, with a hospital stay of 2–3 days. The area of skin to be tightened is marked, and the tissue is tightened via an incision in the groin area. Excess skin and fat are removed. Afterwards, two drains and a compression garment are applied.

After the thigh lift

After the treatment, you may get up straight away. We remove the drains after approximately 2 days and the sutures after 14 days. You should refrain from sport for one month.
