BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids)

BHA acids such as salicylic acid are fat-soluble and can penetrate deep into the skin. There they counteract sebum accumulation and prevent inflammation in the sebaceous glands. They are often used as a complementary treatment for acne, adult acne, blackheads, or inflammation-prone skin. Depending on concentration, exposure time, and product, BHA acids are well-tolerated, even on sensitive skin. We use BHA acids, for example, in our ImageSkincare treatments.
