PRP Blood Plasma - Smoothing Power Elixir

Often the good things are close at hand: our own blood provides substances that can rejuvenate the skin. So-called plasma lifting is therefore an effective anti-aging method.

Autologous blood therapy has been a naturopathic treatment method for over 100 years. In sports medicine, PRP treatment is considered a guarantee for faster healing of orthopedic problems. The body's own regeneration is stimulated by the injection of PRP and healing processes are accelerated. PRP stands for "Platelet Rich Plasma", meaning platelet-rich or thrombocyte-rich blood plasma.

Aesthetic surgery has discovered highly concentrated blood plasma as a wrinkle fighter. PRP contains a very large number of blood platelets (thrombocytes), growth factors, proteins and white blood cells, which stimulates the natural regeneration of the skin. PRP autologous blood therapy is also a very efficient treatment method for hair loss.

Vampire Lifting for Firmer Skin

Plasma lifting, also known as vampire lifting or PRP treatment, is a relatively new minimally invasive method for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle treatment. It is based on the use of the patient's own blood. This is processed in a centrifuge using a special procedure. The highly concentrated blood plasma obtained from this contains substances that influence collagen neo-synthesis and elastin formation in the skin. By introducing the blood plasma into the skin, active, body-own skin rejuvenation and skin regeneration takes place. The skin structure is improved, wrinkles can be smoothed and the skin's moisture retention can be optimized.

A natural alternative

Plasma lifting is therefore the biological alternative to wrinkle injections with fillers, hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin. Small facial wrinkles can be excellently smoothed, as can wrinkles in the décolleté. Stretch marks can also be reduced by means of plasma lifting. Other names for this method of skin rejuvenation are autologous blood lifting, bio-lifting and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) method, PRP therapy or vampire lifting.

In PRP treatment for skin rejuvenation, red blood is normally not used, but rather a processed and concentrated plasma fluid. The plasma concentrate is injected into the skin in small quantities using ultra-fine needles, thus stimulating cell renewal of the skin. If desired, the skin can be treated with a light anesthetic gel before the injection. PRP treatment can also be combined with micro-needling to optimally work the blood plasma into the skin.

After PRP treatment, the patient can leave the practice. Cosmetics should not be applied on that day. Some hours after the treatment, slight swelling may occur, which can be alleviated by cooling and will disappear completely the following day. On the following day, a cosmetic aftercare treatment in the form of individual skin care is recommended.

Virtually no side effects

What makes plasma lifting special is the use of the body's own active substances instead of foreign substances. This activates biological regeneration processes. Since plasma lifting is a biological method without foreign substances, there are practically no intolerances or allergic reactions. A "stiffening" of facial expressions, as can be the case with botulinum toxin, does not occur with plasma lifting. Facial expressions and appearance remain natural, and the facial impression does not change.

In the days and weeks following the vampire lifting, the injected blood plasma develops its full effect. First visible treatment results appear after about one week. Around four weeks after PRP treatment, the full effect is achieved. To maintain the effect of the vampire lifting, repetitions of the therapy at intervals of six to eight months are required. The rejuvenating effect of the autologous blood treatment can last up to 18 months.

PRP treatment is also a very efficient therapy for different forms of hair loss. It stimulates hair growth in a natural way.

PRP for Hair Loss - Getting to the Root of the Problem

If the PRP platelet concentrate is injected specifically into the regions affected by hair loss, hair loss can be sustainably stopped and the hair can become thicker again. The processed blood plasma is a natural source of cell renewal with a strongly regenerating effect. It improves the nutrient supply to the hair root and promotes the growth of new hair. Supporting nutrients are often mixed into the PRP, such as zinc or vitamin B. The stem cells of the blood biologically build up the hair roots and contain growth factors that stimulate cell renewal.

PRP works both as a standalone treatment and in combination with other hair surgical measures. We have been combining PRP therapy with individual hair transplantation for some time now for a significantly better result. The treatment is often repeated up to three times within short intervals to reinforce the growth effect and stimulate it in the long term. To maintain the result, it is also recommended to refresh the PRP hair loss treatment twice a year with one session.
