The collagen building / collagen stimulation trend Modern skin rejuvenation: more collagen, improved skin density, natural glow
Auf dieser Seite
At a glance
- The treatment goal?: More collagen and elastin, improved skin density and texture, refined pores, fewer crepe lines, "freshness kick"
- How is the effect achieved?: Through controlled stimuli (heat, needling, cellular impulses, biostimulation)
- Suitable for whom?: For almost all age groups, both as prevention and for visible signs of skin ageing
- Particularly effective:: Structured programmes, combination treatments, also as a complement following surgical procedures
- Methods at artethic®:: PRP and PRF, NCTF, exosomes (autologous), microneedling, radiofrequency (Morpheus8, Quantum RF), skin boosters/Profhilo, biostimulators (Sculptra®), nanofat, mesotherapy, biorevitalisation, TOP combination One-Stitch lift
What effects does collagen building produce?
Collagen is a structural protein. It provides skin firmness and elasticity. The more collagen present, the plumper and smoother the complexion. Over time, collagen activity declines and the skin becomes thinner and less elastic. Collagen stimulation means: we generate controlled impulses to encourage the formation of this protein and rebuild skin structure. The effect does not appear immediately after treatment; it develops over several weeks and continues to intensify in the months that follow.
How we achieve collagen stimulation
1) Energy and needling: strengthening structure
With radiofrequency microneedling (Morpheus8), we deliver deep, skin-renewing heat impulses. The skin produces more collagen and elastin and restructures itself. Quantum RF can be used to define contours (e.g. the jawline) and tighten and firm the skin. The choice of method depends on the current condition of your skin.
2) Biostimulation: rebuilding the skin from within
Biostimulators such as poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra®) trigger intensive collagen regeneration over several months. Further effective options include PRP and PRF, autologous exosomes, and nanofat. We recommend combinations tailored to your skin.
3) Biorevitalisation: cellular nutrients and fluid hyaluronic acid
Biorevitalisation means hydration, micronutrients, and skin activation in a single treatment. NCTF contains essential cellular nutrients (including vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants) together with hyaluronic acid to support the skin-renewing fibroblasts.

Why collagen building is replacing the "lots of filler" trend
Many of our patients want to look their best but are concerned about an "done" appearance. Collagen stimulation is ideal in this regard. It delivers improved texture, density, elasticity, and glow without artificially altering the face. Used as a complement and in the right dosage, fillers can still make sense – as they provide immediate results.
Our strength: combinations for better results
Collagen building almost always works best when several treatments build upon one another as a stepped system: first improve structure, then promote regeneration, then add the finishing touches for glow and hydration.
Example 1: PRP, NCTF, Morpheus8
Morpheus8 for skin texture (collagen/elastin, restructuring).
NCTF for faster healing ("glow as an immediate effect").
PRP/PRF delivers autologous growth factors as a regenerative boost and can also be combined with needling. PRP on social media: the "go-to" for skin quality, promoted by, among others, Hailey Bieber.
TOP recommendation: natural jawline tightening (not "pulled")
Definition of the chin and jaw line is possible, depending on the degree of laxity and the current condition of the skin, with Quantum RF and Morpheus8. This can be complemented by poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra®) or a One-Stitch lift (TOP recommendation). The goal is natural skin rejuvenation: firmer contours, improved skin density, and less softening of the lower face.
Skin boosters and Profhilo: collagen stimulation plus a "freshness kick"
Skin boosters are more fluid hyaluronic acid variants that hydrate the tissue and improve its structure. Profhilo (bio-remodelling) is the well-established classic in this category. A short series – for example, two treatments four weeks apart – followed by top-up sessions after a few months makes sense here too, always depending on skin condition.
Polynucleotides and autologous fat in the eye area
Around the eyes, the focus is on firmness and reducing fine crepe lines. Polynucleotides and autologous fat are regenerative options for skin rejuvenation and popular specialist treatments at artethic®.
Advanced Vampire Lifting with exosomes and PRP
PRP/PRF is also known as "Vampire Lifting". It is based on the patient's own blood plasma which, enriched with growth factors, can significantly influence skin structure. At artethic®, the spectrum is extended: PRP/PRF can be combined with exosomes and medical needling to achieve even greater regeneration. Exosomes are the body's own cellular messengers that support cell communication.
Nanofat: autologous collagen stimulation with a glow effect
Nanofat is a very finely processed form of autologous fat, ideal for long-term revitalisation and improvement of skin quality. Its effects: natural glow and rejuvenation. Also available in combination with medical needling.
NCTF biorevitalisation
NCTF is based on ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, making it an excellent choice for skin-building and firming combination treatments. For many patients, 2–3 sessions approximately 2–4 weeks apart as a starting course makes sense, followed by regular top-up treatments.
From what age is collagen stimulation appropriate?
20 to 30: prevention, glow, barrier stability, refined pores, early fine lines
30 to 50: building density, improving texture, reducing crepe lines, early laxity
From 50 onwards: a combination of structural rebuilding, regeneration, and targeted contouring support. Collagen stimulation can also be beneficial after facelifts – not as a replacement, but as a quality programme for the skin (refinement, evenness, hydration, regeneration).
What results can be expected?
Collagen building is always a process. The results develop gradually:
noticeably improved hydration (freshness kick)
finer texture, calmer complexion
pores appear more refined
fine lines become smoother
long-term skin stability and, in many cases, fewer crepe lines. Those who start early typically have fewer problems with wrinkles or sagging skin even years later. The reason: structure has been built up consistently over time.
Frequently asked questions
From what age is collagen stimulation worthwhile?
Collagen loss begins as early as young adulthood. Collagen stimulation can therefore be beneficial both as a preventive measure and as a corrective one. Younger patients benefit from improved skin quality and often delayed formation of wrinkles; more mature patients benefit from fewer wrinkles and greater structural stability.
Is collagen stimulation an alternative to fillers?
Collagen stimulation is not a replacement for fillers (hyaluronic acid), but it can complement them effectively. Rather than adding volume, it additionally improves skin structure – with a more natural result.
Why are combinations often more effective than individual treatments?
Different techniques act within different layers of the skin. Energy-based treatments (radiofrequency or laser) provide the structural stimulus, biostimulators promote rebuilding, and biorevitalisation improves hydration and cell function. It is the interplay of these effects that leads to lasting skin improvement and natural skin rejuvenation.
How long does it take for results to become visible?
Part of the effect – increased moisture or glow – is visible immediately after treatment. The actual collagen building takes time. Visible structural improvements generally develop over several weeks to months, as new collagen must be formed within the skin.
How long do the effects of collagen stimulation last?
Longevity depends on skin type, age, lifestyle, and the method chosen. Collagen building is longer-lasting than purely filler-based treatments. Top-up sessions at longer intervals can help to stabilise skin quality over the long term.
