Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use our website easily, including people with a visual impairment, with limited mobility or using assistive technology such as a screen reader. This page describes what you can do on www.artethic.de and how we meet the accessibility requirements.
What this website offers
On www.artethic.de, Artethic GmbH provides information about its treatments in plastic and aesthetic surgery and in medical cosmetics, about its team of doctors and about its practices in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
You can get in touch with us through the website:
- On the page “Book Consultation Appointment” you can book a consultation online. In the booking window you choose the treatment, the doctor and a date, and you enter your contact details. The booking becomes binding once you enter the code you receive by text message. The consultation is charged according to the German scale of medical fees (GOÄ). All terms are set out on the booking page.
- With the contact form you can request a call back or ask a question. Only your name, phone number and preferred location are required.
- You can call us on +49 211 87598360 or email us at kontakt@artethic.de.
Which requirements apply
Online appointment booking is a service in electronic commerce under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). The requirements follow from the BFSG and its implementing ordinance (BFSGV). For websites, the benchmark is the European standard EN 301 549, which adopts the success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. According to these, a website should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
How we meet the requirements
- Keyboard use: All menus, forms, expandable sections and buttons can be used without a mouse. The element currently selected is clearly outlined. At the start of every page, a link takes you straight to the main content.
- Contrast and legibility: Text and controls have sufficient colour contrast. Links within the text are underlined, so they do not rely on colour alone.
- Zoom: You can enlarge the view, including with a pinch gesture on your phone. Up to 400 percent zoom, the content stays readable without scrolling sideways.
- Structure: Every page has one main heading and a consistent outline. Header, navigation, main content and footer are marked up for assistive technology. The language of each page, German or English, is set.
- Images and videos: Images that carry information have a descriptive text alternative. Our own videos have subtitles and a text version, do not start by themselves and can be paused at any time.
- Calm display: Nothing on the website moves by itself. If you have set your device to reduce motion, we respect that setting.
- Forms: Every field has a visible label. Required fields are marked as such. If information is missing, the message appears right next to the field and is also read out by screen readers.
- Cookie settings: The cookie settings window can be used with a keyboard and with screen readers.
