30 Years Dr. Karl Schuhmann: A Career in Service of Aesthetics and Responsibility
Thank you for visiting. On this page, I would like to give you insight into who I am, what motivates me, and how I work. With more than 30,000 procedures, several years of work as head physician in an academic teaching hospital, and as an instructor for medical students, I have been running my practice in Dusseldorf since 2016 – as well as a branch in Berlin.
In addition, I am the author of medical specialist articles, give lectures at international congresses, and volunteer in reconstructive surgery.

Knee Denervation
Dr. Schuhmann and his team are one of the few clinics nationwide offering knee denervation and shoulder denervation for chronic pain. This innovative procedure involves severing the nerve pathways in the painful areas, which can also be applied for arthritis pain in the knee or shoulder.
Sharing Knowledge and Providing Help
Dr. Karl Schuhmann is a speaker on new methods (surgical and non-surgical) in aesthetic medicine, including innovative radiofrequency treatments such as Quantum RF or Morpheus 8.
A special commitment for many years has been to Interplast Germany – with reconstructive operations in countries like India and Armenia. There, children with cleft lip and palate and patients after burns or injuries are treated. The doctors work entirely on a volunteer basis. It's about mobility, freedom from pain, and restoring quality of life.
