Liquid Facelifting in Düsseldorf Natural Rejuvenation Without Surgery
Auf dieser Seite
Liquid facelifting allows us to improve volume, contours, and elasticity.
Skinboosters
and
hyaluronic acid
have proven highly effective – and at our practice in Düsseldorf, we additionally use biostimulators such as Sculptra® to enhance the skin-smoothing effect and promote skin renewal. Biostimulators are collagen boosters that build the skin from within.
Liquid lifting is performed on an outpatient basis, in under an hour, and usually within a single session – with no incisions and no downtime.
At artethic® Düsseldorf, we use the following depending on your skin condition and wishes:
Hyaluronic acids
: also used for contouring the cheekbones, chin, or temples
Skinboosters
for structural improvement of skin quality
Sculptra®
: a biostimulating agent for skin renewal
The effects
: skin tightening, natural rejuvenation, smoothing, and improved hydration, elasticity, and radiance.
Good to know
: The liquid
facelift
offers a degree of protection against skin ageing and is well suited to cosmetic prevention.

Our Methods
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid
has many facets. Depending on the area of the face, we use a more fluid, moisture-binding
hyaluronic acid
– for example in the cheek and mouth area. Or firm, shape-stable
fillers
to partially restore the youthful contour of the
jawline
or cheekbone. Achieving an aesthetic result also requires the right technique. The lifting effect depends on the choice of
hyaluronic acid
, the technique used, and the degree of skin laxity. Important: the liquid
facelift
is about visual lifting effects – not volume!
Skinbooster
Skinbooster
s smooth fine lines, bind moisture, and improve skin texture across broader areas. Suitable for lax, dry skin. Results are visible immediately – particularly around the mouth and cheeks. Especially well suited for combination with biostimulators,
Morpheus8
, HIFU or
Hydrafacial
.
Sculptra® (Biostimulator)
Poly-L-lactic acid stimulates collagen production over a longer period – an effect that builds gradually over several weeks. We frequently recommend this for diminishing elasticity and the first visible signs of skin laxity. Sculptra® can often enhance the effect of liquid facelifting and encourage the skin to regenerate.
Tip
:
Polynucleotides
can also be combined with the treatment. Particularly recommended for thin, dull skin. They stimulate microcirculation (blood flow) and tissue regeneration, and have a stabilising effect. We will discuss which method is right for you during your personal consultation.
Lateral Volume Enhancement (Temples & Cheekbones)
A subtle injection along the temples and lateral cheek area can visually
lift and smooth
the entire face – without introducing volume into the mid-face.
This technique requires a precise understanding of
anatomical planes
and experience with vector directions and the balance of facial expression. At
Dr. Schuhmann
& colleagues, this is part of our daily work – as we specialise in all types of lifting procedures.

Frequently asked questions
How long do the results of liquid facelifting last?
- Hyaluronic acid: up to one year and longer, depending on the product, injection technique, skin condition, and individual metabolism. - Sculptra®: Results develop over a period of several weeks and months and can last up to two years. - Skinboosters: Longevity ranges from 3 to 9 months and beyond. We recommend regular top-up treatments and combination therapies.
Is the treatment painful?
Liquid facelifting is generally not painful. We can pre-treat your skin with a local anaesthetic (cream or lidocaine filler) if required. As we use very fine needles at our practice, this is often unnecessary. And after the treatment? You are socially presentable immediately after the injections. Minimal swelling and slight redness may occur, but as a rule there are no significant after-effects.
Can several substances be combined – for example, hyaluronic acid and Sculptra?
In many cases, a combination is more effective than treating with a single substance. In liquid lifting, hyaluronic acid and biostimulators complement each other well. Hyaluronic acid plumps the skin or ensures good moisture retention in the skin barrier, while the biostimulator triggers skin renewal from within. In this way, we combine immediate effects with longer-term skin regeneration – and the results last longer.
How does the liquid facelift differ from a surgical facelift?
The liquid facelift is not a surgical procedure, but an injection treatment. It provides structural support to the skin, as well as improving elasticity and firmness. Wrinkles and sunken areas can be filled with filler for a certain period of time. The method is best suited to mild skin laxity and moderate fine lines. With a surgical facelift, we reposition the entire tissue and rejuvenate the skin comprehensively for many years. The effects are considerably more pronounced, as deeper skin layers (the SMAS layer) are also tightened – however, this does involve a surgical procedure. For significant skin laxity, the surgical facelift remains the treatment of choice. "EVERY PATIENT IS AN INDIVIDUAL AND, DEPENDING ON THEIR WISHES, IS SUITED TO ONE METHOD OR ANOTHER."
Will the result look natural, or will it be obvious that I have "had something done"?
When liquid facelifting is carried out expertly, the result is harmonious and natural-looking. At artethic® in Düsseldorf, no face is simply "filled up" – instead, it is structurally stabilised along natural volume axes. The aim is for the skin to look fresher, not different.
From what age does a liquid facelift make sense?
There is no fixed age limit. The method is most commonly appropriate from the mid to late thirties through to the fifties, depending on the condition of the connective tissue, skin structure, and personal expectations. Younger patients also use skinboosters or subtle volume contouring for preventive purposes.
Can I return to work or travel immediately after a liquid facelift?
Generally, yes. Mild swelling or minor bruising is possible, but rarely restrictive enough to prevent you from meeting your everyday commitments. This also applies to travel. Sunbeds, saunas, and intensive facial treatments should be avoided for approximately one week to avoid any additional irritation to the skin.
How often should liquid facelifting be repeated?
The need for repeat treatments depends on the product used: - Hyaluronic acid fillers can be refreshed after 7–18 months. - Sculptra is typically built up over 2–4 sessions and then lasts for up to 24 months. - Skinboosters are beneficial every 3–9 months. Important: no blanket statement can be made, as every skin responds differently. Your own metabolism, your skincare routine, sun protection habits, sauna use, and any weight changes all play a significant role in how long results last.
