How do frown lines develop?
Every frown activates the procerus and corrugator muscles (forehead muscles), creating tension in the tissue and forming the characteristic lines. As the body's natural collagen production declines, the skin loses elasticity and resilience. The result: the fine lines are initially only visible when smiling or frowning. Over time, these deepen and become static frown lines.

Modern preparations contain a mild local anaesthetic. You will feel minimal discomfort – less than during a blood draw.
How often should frown line removal be repeated?
We recommend, upon request and depending on the method, a top-up every five to twelve months. The intervals also depend on the depth of the lines, individual metabolism, and skin condition, and are therefore always tailored to each patient.
Is there any downtime?
Frown line injections require no downtime. Minor swelling around the injection sites usually subsides within a few hours.
When is a combination treatment appropriate?
A combination of botulinum toxin A (muscle relaxant, also known as Botulinum) and hyaluronic acid is recommended when your frown lines are both dynamic (visible only when frowning) and static (always visible). Botulinum reduces movement-related lines, while hyaluronic acid fills the remaining skin depressions.
