Non-surgical skin tightening at artethic®

Non-surgical skin tightening at artethic®

Are you looking for an effective, non-surgical approach to skin tightening? A significant development in aesthetic surgery is the growing trend towards non-invasive treatments. The desire to optimise face and body without downtime or risk is very much at the forefront of this movement.

One
highly effective non-invasive method for skin tightening

is treatment with
high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

. The desired tightening effect is achieved through the energy of the sound waves, which stimulates new collagen formation in the skin. The
HIFU lift
can be used across the entire face and on the body to address age-related skin laxity and for
wrinkle treatment

. High-intensity focused ultrasound releases its concentrated energy within the deep layers of the skin. This leads to increased production of collagen and elastin, gradually firming and tightening the skin and creating a natural
face-lifting
effect. The highly effective HIFU treatment is therefore often required only once and remains effective for up to two years.

With
HIFU ultrasound therapy
, excellent results are also achieved in non-surgical fat reduction and
body contouring
across various areas of the body.

The mechanisms of action

Tightening Through Tissue Activation

Non-surgical skin tightening is more subtle than a
facelift

. Alongside effect-based treatments with fillers, we achieve lasting results using fractional radiofrequency and biostimulators. The skin regenerates, firms, and rejuvenates through its own natural processes. Tissue production of elastin and collagen – the key proteins for firm, taut skin – is significantly increased. Results develop gradually.

Each method has its own mechanism of action

Radiofrequency, HIFU,
fillers

, and biostimulators work in different layers and in different ways. What is appropriate depends on skin thickness, elasticity, the appearance of wrinkles, and the existing volume (moisture content and subcutaneous fatty tissue).

Combination treatments are often more effective

Combined treatments, tailored to individual skin needs, almost always produce the best results – and the longest-lasting outcomes. Combinations may include, for example, RF and biostimulator, HIFU and
filler

, or biorevitalisation/biostimulator with needling or radiofrequency. Often used in alternation.

Our methods at a glance

Radiofrequency (RF), with and without needles

Non-invasive RF:

The skin is heated evenly to deep layers. The treatment improves elasticity and provides a gentle tightening effect. Suitable for early signs of laxity and for improving skin texture.

Minimally invasive RF (RF needling):

Energy is delivered via fine needles of varying lengths to the regenerative skin layers – enabling controlled, targeted tissue remodelling at defined points. The effects include increased collagen, increased
hyaluronic acid

, improved skin density, and structured tightening. Suitable for lax skin, wrinkles, and uneven surface texture.

HIFU: focused ultrasound

HIFU acts on the deep connective tissue layers. The concentrated sound waves strengthen skin structure over several sessions. Suitable for the cheeks,
jawline

, and neck. Important note: medical HIFU treatment is not comparable in its effect to cosmetic HIFU.

Injectable treatments for volume and contour

With fillers such as
hyaluronic acid

or
autologous fat

, we smooth hollow areas of skin, blurred contours, or wrinkles. Results are visible immediately. When the
filler

is injected at precisely the right locations, it can gently support the tissue – and provide a subtle lift. Suitable for sunken cheeks and temples, deep wrinkles, and an irregular
jawline

.

Precisely lifting the tissue with a thread lift and liquid
facelift

Fine, self-dissolving threads can provide short-term stabilisation of the skin. For convincing results, we recommend combining them with

Sculptra
(biostimulator), biorevitalisation with NCTF, or

Profhilo
. This achieves a gentle lifting effect AND additionally stimulates the connective tissue to regenerate and rejuvenate. Suitable for moderate laxity of the lower face and a less defined

jawline
.

Biorevitalisation and biostimulators: collagen building from within

  • Polynucleotides

for improved skin hydration, regeneration, and skin density

  • Poly-L-lactic acid (
    Sculptra

    ) and
    Profhilo

    stimulate long-term collagen building

  • PRP

(autologous blood) with growth factors for regeneration

  • Endogenous
    exosomes

support key cellular processes and are central to skin rejuvenation and repair

They improve skin quality in a lasting way and combine well with RF or HIFU.

Skinboosters

& Profhilo: hydration and refinement

Skinboosters

stabilise the uppermost layer of skin with low-cross-linked liquid
hyaluronic acid

. They improve moisture levels and the microstructure of the skin. Suitable for dry skin with early fine lines or premature skin ageing.
Profhilo

refines skin texture across the entire surface, deeply hydrates the uppermost skin layer, and additionally activates collagen production.

Skin Longevity

Skin Longevity encompasses methods that strengthen the skin on a long-term basis: through an intact skin barrier, a stable collagen and elastin framework, and a more balanced structure. The focus is on skin that remains healthy and beautiful over the long term.

Liquid Facelift

for an aesthetic contour

The
Liquid Facelift

uses
fillers

for skin tightening (e.g.
hyaluronic acid

,
autologous fat

). Combinations with RF may be appropriate depending on skin condition. When injected at precisely the right locations, we can subtly lift the cheeks, temples, and
jawline

.

Frequently asked questions

What non-surgical skin tightening treatments are available?

There are various non-surgical approaches, including energy-based treatments (laser, radiofrequency, medical needling), injectable treatments (e.g. botulinum toxin, fillers, autologous fat), and biostimulators. What is appropriate and when depends on the area being treated, the current condition of the skin, and your own personal expectations of the outcome. Non-surgical tightening results are light to moderate, depending on skin structure.

How long do the results of non-surgical skin tightening last?

Results vary considerably in longevity depending on the method. RF treatments and biostimulators stimulate the body's own repair processes, which may remain effective for several months to years. Injectable fillers last for shorter or longer periods depending on the material used. The right combination of different approaches at appropriate intervals is often the decisive factor – rather than a single, one-off treatment.

From what age are skin-tightening treatments recommended?

There is no fixed minimum age; what matters is the condition of the collagen, skin elasticity, and tissue density. Many treatments offer good preventive benefits (biostimulators or radiofrequency) and are increasingly being started in one's thirties. This is an individual decision. If you are considering a treatment, please book an appointment for a no-obligation consultation and, ideally, a skin analysis as well. This will reveal the most important skin parameters.

Can non-surgical skin tightening replace a surgical facelift?

In the early stages, when the skin is only mildly or moderately lax, this is sometimes possible. Where there is more significant skin excess or visible tissue laxity, non-surgical methods can improve and potentially stabilise skin structure, but they cannot replace surgery. A surgical facelift is considerably more intensive in effect and lasts for many years (up to 15 years).
