Amastia

Amastia is a rare congenital malformation in which the breast gland and nipple are completely absent on one or both sides. The cause usually lies in a developmental disorder during the embryonic phase. Amastia often occurs as part of genetic syndromes or together with other malformations. Surgical reconstruction is possible using autologous tissue, tissue expanders, or implants.
