RP Online Reports: A Doctor and His Life's Mission
Karl Schuhmann's Mission in India

The Rheinische Post has reported on our regular humanitarian missions in India. The article sheds light on the two sides of our work: aesthetic surgery in Germany and reconstructive surgery for people in need.
Missions with INTERPLAST Germany
For many years we have travelled with INTERPLAST Germany to India to help people with congenital deformities, severe burns, and war injuries. With a ten-person team of anaesthetists, nursing staff, and plastic surgeons, we operate on people who cannot afford such complex procedures.

Remarkable Stories
The article describes a particularly moving case: a young woman whose arms had fused to her chest and neck following severe burns. After several operations and skin grafts, she was able to move her arms freely again – such moments are among the most profound experiences in our work.
