The face mask covers a large part of the face and shifts the focus to the cheeks, eyes, and forehead. Small wrinkles or excess skin become more noticeable as a result. "Eyelid lifts are experiencing a boom due to coronavirus," adds Dr. med. Karl Schuhmann.

Lip corrections are also trending: "Swelling after a treatment can be perfectly concealed beneath a mask," says Dr. Schuhmann. Many patients are making use of their time working from home to undergo treatments with minimal downtime.
