Plastic Surgery is More Than Pure Cosmetic Surgery

Dr. Schuhmann attended the annual networking event "Düsseldorf IN - Doctors in Conversation" on 31 October 2018, where Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn was the keynote speaker. The event attracted over 600 attendees at the Areal Böhler venue in Düsseldorf.
During his presentation, Dr. Schuhmann emphasised that his professional philosophy extends beyond cosmetic procedures. He explained: "Plastic surgery is not just cosmetic surgery" and highlighted his commitment to reconstructive work.
The surgeon underlined his passion for treating patients with serious conditions: "I want to use my work to help people who have, for example, suffered severe burns or have pressure ulcers (decubitus)."
