Acne

Acne is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. It occurs mainly during puberty but can also affect adults (late-onset acne, Acne Tarda). Typical skin changes include blackheads, pustules, and papules, with severe cases involving nodules or scarring. Hormonal influences, genetic factors, and in some cases lifestyle factors play a role in its development. Treatment depends on severity and type: from topical preparations and medication to procedures such as peels, laser, medical microneedling, or appropriate active ingredient combinations.
